The musical comedy The Yankee Girl (1909) needed a march and Sousa was asked to provide one. The result was one of his most melodic efforts. Loras John Schissel's new edition is a must for every band library, a work which will receive frequent performances. Wonderful euphonium countermelodies make this a unique Sousa opus.
