This piece is included in the NFMC 2024-28 Piano Solo Event. This late intermediate solo in the key of F# minor exudes a somber and haunting ambience. The L.H. contains accompaniment patterns consisting of extended arpeggios and harmonic voicing, while the R.H. plays the highly lyrical melody with a few cadenza-like passages. This piece will appeal to the teenager as well as the adult student.
