Caribbean Flavors - Popplers Music

Caribbean Flavors will sound best when players pay close alention to articulations. Be sure to keep the eighth notes and staccato quarter notes short and separated but encourage students to use plenty of bow and a more legato stroke in the slurred melodies. The rhythmic passages can be taught by ear and students should be successful as they are repeated throughout the piece. If you have a small bass section, a few cello players could easily play the bass part to help round out the piece!
