This anthem tells of both the exuberant praise of the angels and the gentle song of Mary. The angels offer their "shout of joy" while Mary sings her tender lullaby. Both are appropriate musical expressions for Christians today to celebrate the birth of the infant Jesus. Text author, Michael Perry, states that "…both celebration and contemplation must contribute to our worship of the Christ Child."
