Over the course of 20 lessons and over 60 individual exercises, Book 3 dives in to the concept of lateral strokes, a common technique required in contemporary four-mallet marimba literature. Exercises focus specifically on more immediate concepts of double laterals, triples, and combination strokes where two consecutive stroke types are required in one hand.
Book 3 also features 8 solos of varying styles with original compositions by Julia Gaines-Montag, Michal Brauhn Damm, Julie Davila, Erin Duke, Jessica Flannigan, Chelsea Tinsler Jones, Tracy Thomas, and Andrea Venet.
