Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Millennium III Action

Millennium III Action

ABS-Carbon parts, a carbon-fiber-infused composite, make the action stronger, faster and more stable than all-wood designs, in acoustic and digital modes alike.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 NEOTEX Keytops

NEOTEX Keytops

Kawai’s ivory-and-ebony alternative absorbs moisture and oil for secure control, with a natural texture on every key.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Extended Key Length

Extended Key Length

Longer keys give more leverage, so you get greater control and more power with less effort across the whole key.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 GP Touch Muting

GP Touch Muting

An improved stop rail halts each hammer just before the strings, so the grand’s touch feels exactly the same in silent mode.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Optical Hammer Sensors

Optical Hammer Sensors

Contact-free, high-resolution sensors read each hammer’s movement, not just the key, for complete dynamic control in digital modes.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Tapered Solid Spruce Soundboard

Tapered Solid Spruce Soundboard

Quarter-sawn spruce, tapered by region, for a warm, powerful grand tone.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Vertically Laminated Bridge

Vertically Laminated Bridge

A bridge built from vertical layers transfers string energy to the soundboard with remarkable efficiency.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Soundboard Speaker System

Soundboard Speaker System

Four transducers, two low-mid and two high, play digital sound through the solid spruce soundboard for a natural, room-filling tone.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 SK-EX Rendering

SK-EX Rendering

Multi-channel samples of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand, with resonance modeling across all 88 keys and 10 piano characters.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 90 Digital Voices

90 Digital Voices

Electric pianos, organs, strings, choirs and pads, with Dual, Split and Four Hands modes for layering and lessons.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Bluetooth MIDI & Audio

Bluetooth MIDI & Audio

Pair a phone or tablet for apps, or stream music through the soundboard in high-quality aptX audio.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 PianoRemote App

PianoRemote App

Choose sounds, fine-tune with Virtual Technician, record with the metronome and explore a library of classical pieces.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Silent Practice

Silent Practice

Engage the mute and play with headphones any time of day. Spatial Headphone Sound gives a natural, open piano image, with two jacks for teacher and student.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Supervised by Master Piano Artisans

Supervised by Master Piano Artisans

Kawai’s MPAs guided every AURES2 so its action and tone match its acoustic counterpart.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 CORE System

CORE System

Rim, plate and beams converge on one central point for exceptional power and sustain.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 Hybrid Inner Rim

Hybrid Inner Rim

A layered inner rim reflects more energy back into the soundboard for a fuller tone.

Kawai GX-2 AURES2 V-Pro Plate

V-Pro Plate

A vacuum-molded plate for strength, stability and beauty.
