MAD MEASURES is an exciting sight-reading game for the recorder that is designed to reinforce and increase your students' ability to read notes on the treble clef staff. Each level includes 24 different measures using the following notes:
Level 1: BA, Level 2: BAG, Level 3: BAGE, Level 4: BAGED, Level 5: CBAG, Level 6: DCBAG and Level 7: DCBAGED
Each level is presented in a PowerPoint format for interactive white board use. A Print & Play format is also included for each level.
Even though this game was designed with recorders in mind, you can use it in a variety of ways. Some suggestions are:
* Line and space note recognition with younger students
* No recorders, no problem! Play the game by asking students to speak the letter names of the notes.
* Use other melodic instruments such as tone bells, desk bells, Boomwhackers, tone chimes, etc.
