RECORDER MATCH-UPS is a memory-style game that will reinforce your students’ knowledge of recorder fingerings. There are 2 versions of this game and each is presented in 2 formats. The Print & Play documents are designed for small group use while the interactive PowerPoint format is designed to be used as a team game with your entire class. In the Letter Names version, students must match a recorder fingering with its letter name. In the Staff Notation version, students must match a recorder fingering with its corresponding staff notation.
Have you ever needed an activity to keep your students motivated and on task when doing individual assessments on recorders? Print multiple sets of the Print & Play cards and let your students work in groups of 2 or 3 as they finish their assessment. The color coded cards work well with less experienced recorder players. The black and white cards are more challenging for your experienced students.
